Stuhrling Original Men's 274.335664, The Challenger Series was inspired by the spirit of competition and the fast paced nature of an active lifestyle, so it’s no surprise to find many of Stuhrling Original’s sportiest chronograph timepieces. These timepieces include designs and details that lend to its high speed persona and high-tech complications. The Brevet’s name was inspired by a famous bicycle race, because of its amazing sub-dial design; it is also the newest member to speed into the Sportsman’s Collection. Circles within circles, the round case design on this sporty timepiece’s look as a whole brings forth visions of turning wheels from case to face. Just inside the tachymeter chapter ring is a concentric circle design reminiscent to that of a lined track, and atop it are the individually applied baton style indices and Arabic numerals for 12 and 6. The sub-dials located at 0 and 3 o’clock indicate the 60 minute counter and 24 hour counter; the Citizen OS 21 chronograph movement, the heart of the Brevet, utilizes rotating gear-shaped discs that ultimately gave this timepiece its name. Sweeping across the dial at 6 o’clock is the date aperture with a clear box on tinted acrylic. And of course, we’ve included semi-skeletonized hands with Luminova fill for easy read in the dark. Another remarkable detail on the Brevet is its strap. Made from high quality silicon rubber, the dimpled strap is perfectly integrated, giving it a seamless look and feel. As with any sport watch, the Brevet was built to be rugged and tough to withstand the rigors of competition; the case was blanked from solid bars of 316L surgical grade stainless steel, and the movement and case is protected by a scratch-resistant Krysterna crystal.
